You would need some materials for making the combustion spud gun.

PVC coupling 4 inches
PVC cleanout with plug 4 inches
PVC pipe SCH 40, 4" X 1.5'
PVC reducer coupling 2-4 inches
BBQ igniter
Nails
PVC primer and cement
Hammer
Saw
Once you have all the material, you can start the production process.
You may begin by cutting the PVC pipes with the help of a hack saw to the appropriate lengths.
Make sure that the pipes are clean. Now hammer two nails across the PVC pipe and wrap the stripped ends of the igniter wire just beneath the head of the nail. The points of the nails must be about ¼ inches away from one another inside the pipe.
Push the igniter button. You would see a spark inside the pipe.
Apply PVC primer and then PVC cement to the ends of the pipes for cementing the pipes together. Leave it for drying for a day before you set out for spud gun shooting.
Put a potato with a stick down to the end of the barrel of your spud gun. Spray an aerosol like hairspray or deodorant into the back chamber. Your combustion spud gun is ready to fire.
