Stencil and its uses

It is exhilarating that a small invention like a stencil can have an enormously wide scope of usage. A thin sheet of plastic or metal with letters, designs or a specific shape cut out of it to create a similar depiction for fulfilling various purposes. Some of them are:-

Paintings

Stencil Paintings are a time-honored technique of painting. Using their own hands, artist created wonderful designs and stencil paintings were common in the pre-historic period.

Book illustration

The use of stencils was not confined to paintings, as in the 1920s stencils enjoyed high popularity in France for book illustrations. Stencils were extremely popular as a method of book illustration as it was a technique which very well sufficed the need of book illustrations back then. Well known studios such as Marty, Jean Saudé specialized in this technique.

Aerosol Stencils

They have many pragmatic applications and the concept of Aerosol stencil is used frequently in commercial, industrial, residential, artistic and recreational settings. The use is just not constrained to these settings. There are various other uses to which it’s put by the infrastructure management companies, the military and the governments of various nations.
